Today Joel Osteen Devotional 1st October 2021: The Hand of God

Today’s Scripture: Job 27:11, NKJV
“I will teach you about the hand of God; what is with the Almighty I will not conceal.”

TODAY’S WORD: Life is too short to live frustrated because you’re not getting your way or because something unfair happened. God wouldn’t have allowed it if it was going to keep you from your destiny. It’s a test. Are you going to let it steal your joy, or are you going to be still and know that He is God? If He’s not changing it, you have to be mature enough to say, “God, I don’t like this situation, but You’re in control. I’m going to stay in peace and enjoy my life.”

Could it be that what’s frustrating you is really the hand of God? Could it be He’s doing things behind the scenes that are for your good? He’s guiding you, protecting you, positioning you, preparing you. Not everything that happens is ordained by God, but nothing can happen without His permission. When it doesn’t make sense to us, we have to trust Him. He’s given you grace to go through it. If you pass the test, you’ll see promotion, healing, breakthroughs, and new levels.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I can be still and know that You are God. Help me to realize that Your hand is at work behind the scenes in my life, and You’re working things for my good. I declare that I’m going to stay in peace and know that You are in control. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
