TO LIVE A RIGHTEOUS LIFE

To achieve a purpose life one ought to live a righteous life.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,”[a] and he was called God’s friend. (James 2:23; Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6).

The Gospel according to Philippians 3:9 says;  and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

To be able to live a righteous life one needs to totally have trust and faith in God. In order to live a purposeful life, one also needs to live a righteous life and when live a righteous life, his purpose will be fulfilled on earth.

Abraham was a father of many nations not because he deserved it but he obeyed the principles of the purpose of life. He lived a righteous life and it was accounted unto him, ‘Friend of God’.

It is not magic but practical. What do we see today? When people hear God’s Word, it stops there because it is not practical. That is the reason behind many youths not making progress in life.

As much as one does not put the WORD into practice, there is every tendency that the person will turn to be carnal, like I have said before now. Abraham did not stop believing God even when the promise was yet to come, but the he believed and it was accounted to him righteousness and earned himself a godly title – the father of faith and that reminds me of the question we all ought to answer, ‘What title do you bear and who gave you or what act did you perform to earn the title?

Again, is the title godly? Even after the promise came through, he did not stop believing in God and living a righteous life. In the midst of trials, he didn’t succumb to unrighteousness. Even after he had received his gift (Isaac) from God, he did not back out, but stood up was focused till his death. And God established His words about him.

Likewise, God changed Paul on his way to persecute the Christians; he changed immediately and started living a worthy life. Paul did not stop working for God till his death. In the midst of temptations, he did not turn back to his old life. He did not give up the faith till he was led out of the city and beheaded.

What excuse will you give that holds or that is holding you back from living a righteous life? What is that stumbling block in your way that stops you from reaching the climax of your purpose? Have you prayed about it? Come out of it now and depend on God’s grace for excellence, then achieve that purpose.

The unrighteous living of youths has dragged them into the pit of death, others into the state of stagnancy, physical and spiritual imprisonment and other worse conditions. Why die in that pit of a purposeless life? You can make it. ‘You can make it’ The word came to me when I had given up. then I turned back and started realizing my purpose while in this youth. Don’t allow pleasure (Fleshy excitement) to make you an unfulfilled person.

Be fulliled like Abraham, Paul and other saints in the Bible. My happiness today is that my today is better than my yesterday because I have good understanding of the WORD of life (the MANUAL).

On the other hand, when a person turned to live unrighteous life, the person will surely end like the almighty Samson. What a mighty man he was, but what was the end of the story of the great anointed man? He died a miserable death, because of lust of a woman. Yes, he was a mighty man, anointed and powerful yet was captured and bonded by the Philistines through Delilah’s trap. This is a terrible end of the anointed. Live a righteous life today and escape doom. You can make a change in your generation, don’t dilute the purpose. The answer is to live a righteous life then, you can make it. Remember, without righteousness, no eyes will see God
