TOPIC: I AM AN EAGLE! I RENEW TO REFIRE!
SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 40:25-31
ODM 23 July 2021 Daily Message by Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe
I am led to take you on a journey to SPY ON THE LIFE OF AN EAGLE! I call it the “University” of the Eagle! Let’s start with the first COURSE: EAGLE – 101 – The Eagle as a bird has the longest lifespan of its species. It can live up to 25-70 years depending on its environment. There is a controversy as to the actual age limit of eagles but some biological journals project that to reach this age (about 70 years), the eagle must make a hard decision. When it is near 40, its long and strong talons (a claw, especially one belonging to a bird of prey) can no longer grab prey which serves as its food.
Its long and sharp beak becomes weak/bent. Its enviable heavy wings become stuck to its chest and make it very hard or impossible to fly. Then, the eagle is left with only two options: die or go through a painful process of change which lasts for 150 days. The process requires that the eagle fly to a mountain peak and sit on its nest. There, the eagle knocks its beak against a rock until it falls off. After the beak falls off, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow back and then it will pluck out its claws. When its new claws grow back, the eagle starts plucking its old feathers off.

And after 150 days (five months), the eagle takes its famous flight of A NEW BEGINNING (rebirth) and it is able to live further for 30 more years. Oh! What a motivational story of NEVER GIVING UP! I am not a zoologist or anORNITHOLOGIST (a person who studies ornithology – the branch of science (zoology) devoted to birds). But the Holy Ghost wants you to know that NO MATTER THE MATTER, they that wait upon the LORD shall RENEW THEIR STRENGTH.This Christian race is NOT a 100-METER DASH! It is a marathon! Therefore, you need to regularly RENEW your strength!
No wonder today’s scripture Verse 30 says: “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall,” then Verse 31 says: “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Always remember that YOU CARRY THE EAGLE STAR and not an ORDINARY STAR…(to be continued tomorrow).
