Scripture Reading: Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me’ – John 14:6
Today’s Message: 8 September 2022 John Hagee Daily Devotional
Jesus Himself made it clear. There is only one way to reach the Father, and that is through Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No alternatives exist.
The cross of Jesus built a bridge back to the Father for us. We were lost in sin, wandering in darkness, alone and unloved. Sin severed our relationship with God, but it is renewed through the sacrifice of His Son.
The blood of Jesus washed away our sins. He transferred us from darkness into His marvelous kingdom of light. He adopted us as His own children. Jesus opened the way back to our Father.
In stark contrast to Satan – the father of lies – Jesus is the truth. All of the promises of God in Christ are YES and AMEN to the glory of God (II Corinthians 1:20). If every man is a liar, God alone is truth (Romans 3:4).
In opposition to Satan who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus comes to give us life. And not just a barely-getting-by kind of life. He comes to give us abundant, pressed-down, shaken-together, overflowing-with-His-goodness kind of life!
There is no getting around it. Jesus is the one way to a genuine eternal life. What a beautiful choice the Father has given us through His Son.
Today’s Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Praise to the Father Who sent His beloved Son to purchase our salvation! Serve Him with your whole heart until He comes again.
